All Hallows Catholic College

ALL HALLOWS CATHOLIC COLLEGE offers a distinctive and inclusive education based on traditional Christian values and high expectations. The College motto "Christi crux est mea lux" or "The cross of Christ is my light" reminds us that we live and work in the presence of our risen Lord, and we offer all our achievements to Him. We do this by looking to the example of all those who have gone before us and set us a good example as saints of the Lord. The College is dedicated to all the saints in its name 'All Hallows'.

All Hallows has provided a Sixth Form education for students from far and wide for the past forty years. Our Sixth Form serves a very large area and caters for students from all backgrounds and all types of school.

Courses

All Hallows offers a wide variety of AS/A2 courses and AVCEs . We offer the traditional arts, humanities and science courses along side new subjects students can pick up post-16 like psychology, sociology and philosophy.

Entrance Policy

Advanced level courses are taken by those students who have achieved high standards in their GCSE courses. This would be a minimum of 5 GCSE’s at A*-C.

If students wish to study a subject at Advanced level which they have studied at GCSE then they should be able to demonstrate success at it before embarking on an Advanced level course.

If a student wants to study a ‘new’ subject at Advanced level then a good general academic performance is required.

All prospective students must complete an application form and will be interviewed before a place is offered.

Student Support

Strong pastoral care is a strength at All Hallows. Sixth Form students will be assigned a form tutor who will support them through their two years of study. Their form tutor will also run complementary activities over the two years such as how to study and revise, careers education, interview technique and preparation for employment.

Facilities

As a school All Hallows has a wide range of facilities. The Sixth Form have access to all of these but also to facilities that are dedicated to the Sixth Form. These include a common room, Sixth Form library and study area as well as specialised teaching areas in several subjects.
