Students who are aged 16-19, can study the Advanced Diploma at LZ6/Macclesfield College, as an alternative to A Levels and Vocational courses such as BTECs.
This is a two year Level 3 qualification which is equivalent to 3.5 A Levels. It is worth up to 420 UCAS points and will allow you to progress on to university, an apprenticeship or into employment.
Advanced Diploma Courses:
As part of the Advanced Diploma students can also choose to study an A Level that is either related to the diploma subject or a subject that reflects your interests and ambitions. So, for example, if you want a career in IT Management you could choose to study for an Advanced Diploma in Business, Administration & Finance and as your extra qualification you could take A Level Mathematics.
